Dibble Optical was launched in October 2009 as a specialist company supplying quality ophthalmic consumables, tooling and accessories to laboratories and retail practices throughout the UK and Eire.
The company is owned by industry veteran Barry Dibble, who has previously held chief executive roles with two other leading multinational optical organisations. He has been a director of the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (FMO) since 2003 and is the current Chairman.
Dibble Optical are the exclusive distributors for Breitfeld & Schliekert, which is more commonly known as B&S. This is a long-established German organisation, which was founded in 1927 in Rathenow. The image is taken from their reception.

The B&S range of products is presented in two catalogues, and widely accepted to be the most comprehensive within the optical industry. There are literally thousands of products represented in the blue Workshop Catalogue, covering almost every aspect of spectacle manufacture, repair and adjustment. The orange Accessories Catalogue contains a comprehensive range of practice accessories, including prescription swimming goggles, prescription sports eyewear, sports safety eyewear, reading glasses and a range of lens cleaning products.
In January 2010 the company became distributors for the full range of 3M LEAP adhesive pads and rapidly asserted itself as one of the leading suppliers of these products in the UK.
December 2010 sees the launch of the Miraflex range of paediatric frames. These delightful frames are anatomically designed to distribute the weight of the corrective lens and frame over a larger surface, thereby increasing wearer comfort. The trendy plastic frames are virtually indestructable, have no metal parts and are hinge-free. They are available in more than 20 colours and suitable for children and babies from age 3 months to approximately 8 years.
The new Rodenstock range of quality ophthalmic instruments are available exclusively from the company from April 2011.
