B&S in Germany are the market leaders in lens edging technology and, after a lengthy development process, have used their experience to produce a new concept in industrial lens edging.
The new B&S MCS-2010 multi-axis dry cut edging system will be launched in the UK at Optrafair 2011. The German manufactured machine is aimed at both high volume laboratories and specialist glazing facilities. The MCS-2010 is particularly suited for processing lenses with high base curve or complex bevel requirements.
The system has been designed from the outset to be extremely simple to use with a clearly laid out operator interface via touch-screen. Automatic job loading and tool changing are two additional key features that increase system productivity. The edger can process all types of plastic materials including polycarbonate and Trivex.
The MCS-2010 is compliant with most existing lab software systems or, as an option, it can be supplied with the innovative B&S lab software package to administer and manage lab processes.
